Stripe is a suite of APIs that powers commerce for businesses of all sizes. It is also a popular online payment method. To set up eFrontPro to accept payments through Stripe, first you need to set up a new account with Stripe.
Creating a Stripe account and obtaining the required information
In order to create a Stripe account go to the Stripe register page and fill in your email and desired password. Once you have done so, log in to your newly created stripe account and activate it. Activating your account will require for you to provide some personal information, as well as credit card information, bank details etc.
The next step is to get your API keys. Click on the API option from the left menu (1)
and you shall find your Secret and Publishable key.
Setting it up
Copy your Live Secret Key and your Live Publishable Key and then go to your eFrontPro system and navigate to your System Settings and then go to eCommerce (1). Over there in the Gateway section (2) select Stripe (3) as the option for your payment gateway and then you will see the corresponding options appearing (4).
Paste your Live Secret Key and your Live Publishable Key and click save. That's it. Your stripe payment gateway is set up.
Performing a purchase
The process is the same as paying a course with PayPal, but this time when your user proceeds to checkout from his/hers shopping cart, he/she will be presented with the option to pay with Credit Card (1) instead of PayPal.
Clicking on Pay With Credit Card button will pop up a new window, where your user will be prompted to enter his/hers credit card details.
Once the previous step is completed and your user has paid for the course, then he/she will be able to access this course and take its content.
